Disposal information

Note in accordance with § 18 Battery Law

As batteries are included in our range, we are obliged by the  Battery Act (BattG) to point out the following: batteries and rechargeable batteries should not be disposed of with household waste. You are legally obliged to return used batteries and accumulators. Old batteries can contain harmful substances that when improperly stored or disposed of can cause damage to the environment or your health. Batteries also contain important raw materials such as iron, zinc, manganese or nickel and can be recycled. You can dispose of batteries after use either by returning them to us or in your neighbourhood (for example, trade or municipal collection or in our store)  free of charge. Delivery to shops is limited to end-users in reasonable quantities and to batteries which are or have been normally stocked by the distributor as new batteries.

The sign with the crossed-out wheelie bin means that you must not dump  batteries and accumulators with household waste. Under this sign you will additionally  find the following symbols with their meaning:

Pb: battery contains lead

Cd: battery contains cadmium

Hg: battery contains mercury
